The GenAI Graduate Writing Community
The GenAI Graduate Writing Community (GGWC) focuses on helping teachers and students use GenAI tools—e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini— responsibly and purposefully to become more efficient and effective writers. We encourage practices that ensure students continue to grow as writers and scholars. The GGWC is dedicated to exploring best practices around GenAI usage and to sharing ideas and insights.
At GGWC meetings, a volunteer will describe a situation they are facing, share insights, and ask questions. Other attendees will then comment and address questions. Organizers will choose who will be the focus of the next meeting. The GGWC generally plans to meet at 5:00 p.m. on the third Friday of each month, although see the schedule for actual dates. Anyone concerned with graduate communication support is welcome to attend, regardless of whether they are a CGC member. Register for the first meeting here.
