The Mapping Scholarly Literature with AI micro-credential is designed for graduate students and working professionals interested in scholarly applications of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).
The program is comprised of two workshops and asynchronous self-guided instructional content in an online learning management system. These materials will introduce learners to basic GenAI concepts and demonstrate an application of GenAI for mapping and classifying scholarly research on a designated topic. The content draws from a framework that considers the effectiveness, efficiency, and ethicality of harnessing the affordances of GenAI tools. Participants will engage in hands-on activities and watch instructional recordings to consolidate their learning, and offered through Iowa State University Center for Communication Excellence in the Graduate College .
