Writing buddies can be people you meet with for accountability, peer feedback, mentorship, and more.
To find a writing buddy, search listings or place your own on the CGC Find a Writing Buddy spreadsheet.
Listings include:
- Name
- About you (e.g., position, institutional affiliation, research interests, etc.)
- Description of project you’re seeking support for
- Kind of support you’re seeking from a buddy (e.g., accountability, body-doubling, feedback, mentorship, proofreading)
- Kind of support you can offer a buddy given your responsibilities, time constraints, etc.
- Timeline (e.g., are you looking for a single meeting/round of feedback, ongoing support, and are you working toward any specific deadlines)
- How much time can you commit (e.g., 1 hour/week, 2 hours/month)
- Completed? (This column is for you to indicate when you’ve found the support you’re seeking so others will know not to reach out to you again.)
